Telugu Kala Samithi held children competitions
and half yearly general body on 9th Dec at Caramel
School auditorium . Competitions were held in
various events like solo songs, group songs,
solo dance, group dance and fancy dress. As many
as (70) children participated in the events
Competitions started with solo songs category
and (15) children have participated in the competition.
It is followed by group songs in which (9) children
have participated.
Judges for the songs event were :
Mrs.Rani Bala, Sri..Ashok, Sri.G.Prasad.
Later
on dance competitions were held in solo and
group categories. Overall (59) children
took part in this event.
Judges for dance events were :
Mrs Rani Bala, Mrs.Suneeta, Mr.Raj
Audience were very much enjoyed the group dance
event which comprises catchy filmy numbers, trendy
folk and rhythmic patriotic songs
The highlight of the evening show was colorful
fancy dress event. Around 30 children participated
in the event.
Judges for the event were : Sri.P.Venkatarao,
Sri.G.Trimurthulu and Sri.P.Naidu

Later on Telugu Kala Samithi half yearly general
body was held in the packed auditorium.
TKS President Dr.Veeranna presided the meeting
.In his welcoming address he stressed the need
of members active participation in the activities
of association. Also he welcomed suggestions
and healthy criticism from members. Gen. Sec
K.Suresh presented secretary’s report,
in which he narrated all the activities in the
last 6 months period .In his speech, he admitted
that the committee sincerely working to strengthen
the association in all fields to secure a respectable
place in Kuwait –Indian society. Treasurer
U.Saibaba presented half yearly un audited financial
report.
Later part of the General Body is question and
answer session, in which members sought explanation
from the committee on various issues related
to functioning of association and conducting
programs and members were given satisfactory
replies from the committee. Later Senior and
active member Sri.P.Venkat Rao highlighted the
necessity of raising membership amount as it
is not raised from the inception of the organization.
Then there was an active debate in the meeting
in which members Sri.K.Sukumar, Sri.N.Anandakumar,
Sri Surya Rao, Sri Bhaskar Reddy, Sri.P,V.Rao,
Sri.A.G.Prasad and Mrs.K.Yamini took part. Finally
the general body amended the raise in membership
amount from 6 K.D to 8 K.D for adult member and
2 K.D to 3 K.D for child above the age of 5 years.
After the general body meeting prize distribution
event took place.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks,
proposed by Jt sec sri.Suresh Babu Naidu.
